Meaning
Happy are the kṣatriyas, O Pārtha, who meet with such a battle, come of its own accord, an open door to heaven. Kṛṣṇa speaks within the warrior ethic of his audience, in which a righteous battle was a path to heaven; the Gītā later places action without desire for heaven above this view (2.42–2.46).
For children
Krishna says: “Sometimes a chance to do something really good comes to you all by itself. When it does, you are lucky — take it!”
Kṛṣṇa continues his argument from Arjuna’s duty as a warrior (2.31–2.38).
