Meaning
For those attached to enjoyment and power, whose minds are carried away by that speech, resolute understanding is not established in samādhi. It completes 2.42–2.44: the scattered, desire-driven mind cannot reach the single-pointed resolve of 2.41.
For children
Krishna says: “If your mind is always running after more toys and treats, it can’t be calm and still.”
This verse ends the long sentence of 2.42–2.44 about minds scattered by the desire for rewards.
